LandYield is proud to announce the first issuance of verified forest carbon credits through ACR under our family forest carbon program. More than a company milestone, this issuance demonstrates that family forest owners can successfully participate in high-integrity carbon markets and earn income while keeping their forests standing.
LandYield was founded on the belief that the carbon market should work for more than just the largest landowners. Over the past several years, we've invested heavily in remote sensing technology, scientific modeling, and an online enrollment platform that dramatically lowers the cost of developing forest carbon projects. By aggregating hundreds of smaller properties into larger, professionally managed projects, we've made it possible for family forest owners to participate in a market that was previously inaccessible. In less than three years, hundreds of landowners across 25 states have joined the LandYield program. This first issuance validates that model.
It can be easy to think of carbon credits as numbers on a spreadsheet. But behind every credit is a family that made a different decision about the future of its land. Rather than harvesting timber today, these landowners chose to allow their forests to continue growing, storing additional carbon while protecting wildlife habitat, improving water quality, and preserving the character of their property for future generations. While some neighbors choose to clear-cut trees, removing hardwood forests for a lifetime, we want our property with beautiful forests to be enjoyed by our family for many years to come."

LandYield's projects are developed under ACR's methodology for Small Non-Industrial Private Forestlands (SNIPFL), a rigorous framework designed specifically to bring high-quality carbon crediting within reach for family forest owners. This first issuance has also been assigned a BeZero Carbon Rating of BBB, from independent rating agency BeZero, reflecting recognition of LandYield’s project carbon accounting, additionality, and overall integrity. Strong science and transparent verification are essential to building confidence in forest carbon markets—for both landowners and credit buyers.
This first issuance is an important milestone, but it's only the beginning.
